With the Fourth of July holiday sure to hold a special place in her heart from this day forth, Hillary Scott has announced her engagement to Chris Tyrell!
The Lady Antebellum frontwoman received her proposal from her drummer fiance over the Independence Day weekend, with Tryell asking for Miss Scott's hand in marriage while staying at a lake house in East Tennessee.
Of the momentous occasion, Hillary told People magazine, "Chris proposed exactly the way I've always dreamed. Our families were close by, but it was just us out on a beautiful deck overlooking a lake in East Tennessee. We had just been on a hike and ? in our workout clothes ? he hit the knee! We feel so blessed by God that He sent us each other, and we are looking so forward to forever together!?
And while a wedding is now on the way, the couple have yet to pick a date to walk down the aisle - as Miss Scott is currently busy headlining a summer tour with her bandmates Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood.
